BREAKING NEWS from the monster factory:
I have published an activity adventure book. I just wanted to say that. Tee hee, I'm really thrilled to have my own copy.
This is a 100 page paperback activity book with three sections. In the first section, there are word searches and secret codes as the log-keeper looks for monsters. In section two, we find a secret door in the back of the closet that leads to a place where monsters live. Log-keepers draw a map, name the monsters, take a quiz, and design their own monsters. In the third section, we have fun with the monsters. There are jokes, games, mazes, craft instructions, poems, and spaces for designing and writing the log-keeper's own ideas.

Other monsters...
There have always been monsters. Whether they are monsters that eat cookies or live under the bed... or maybe those that live with other wild things... monsters are around. Lately, it might seem that there are more monsters than ever. They are even attending their own university!
Even though I've been aware of monsters in the news, even I was shocked to see how bad it has gotten in New York City! Check out these pictures:

Adoptable Monsters
I've been sewing and sewing.... these crazy monsters just make me so happy!
I've been an elementary school teacher for over 15 years, so I know how precious these last few days of summer are! And I know that once we're back to school, it will much more difficult to find time to play with monsters. With that in mind, I've started a stockpile of monsters to fill Christmas orders. But once they're gone, they're... gone. Grrrrrr. Check them out!

Meet the monsters
I love these guys.
I first created wild sweater monsters to live in the book nook in my kindergarten classroom. Kids loved reading to them, playing with them, writing monster stories, and storing little notes in their mouths.
I placed a few monsters in local stores and started selling them on Facebook. I also visited a few farmer's markets and craft fairs.
Now, I spend lots of my free time stitching up monster friends to build my monster empire. Weeeeeeee are taking over the world!!
